Today, we’re bringing you a Sesh-approved version of Raising Cane’s Chicken and that irresistible Cane’s Sauce—crispy, flavorful, and packed with protein.

Here’s the Recipe

Ingredients

  • 125g chicken breast
  • 85ml buttermilk
  • 40g mayonnaise (99% fat-free)
  • 20ml tomato sauce
  • 30g plain flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • Cayenne pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Directions

1. Prep the Chicken: Slice the chicken breast into strips—think tender-sized portions.

2. Marinate: In a mixing bowl, add the chicken strips, buttermilk, half the paprika, garlic powder, white pepper, and a sprinkle of cayenne pepper. Stir well, ensuring every strip is coated. Cover and let marinate in the fridge for at least an hour for maximum flavor.

3. Mix the Coating: In a separate bowl, combine the flour with the remaining paprika, garlic powder, white pepper, and cayenne. Add a splash of water to create a slightly lumpy, sticky texture—it helps the coating stick better!

4. Coat the Chicken: Dip each marinated chicken strip into the flour mixture, then quickly dunk it in water for 1-2 seconds, and dip it back into the flour for a final coat. This double-dip method gives you that crispy crunch.

5. Air Fry: Place the coated strips in the air fryer basket, ensuring they’re evenly spaced. Cook at 180°C (350°F) for 15 minutes or until they’re golden and crispy. No air fryer? No problem—you can bake them in the oven at 200°C (400°F) for about 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.

6. Make the Sauce: While the chicken cooks, mix the mayonnaise, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper in a small bowl. This will be your delicious, guilt-free Cane’s Sauce—ready to dunk, drizzle, or savor.

7. Serve and Enjoy: Plate your crispy chicken with the sauce on the side and dig in! It’s comfort food, reimagined.
